Whole Body Breathing with simple meditative movements. Instructions on how to tap into the "inner medicine" of Chi. Learning how to increase your energy, vitality and longevity.

 

"Exercise in the Morning Sun "

(While seated in a quiet secluded place)

Lie down on your back and feel the warmness of the sun. Begin to breathe deeply the morning fresh air. Imagine all your troubles to be gathered at the tip of your nose. As you breathe them in deeply let them go as strongly as possible with the mouth open or if you prefer with the mouth closed. Get in a rhythm like the waves of the ocean. You can begin to hear the ocean as you breathe deeply and calmly.

Stretch your hands over your head and your feet out all at the same time, growing taller and thinner with your posture all in line. With your feet together and arms are your sides, stretch down with one foot letting your whole body stretch down and then alternate sides. It feels kind of like riding a bicycle in your youth.

With the feet together raise one leg bent at the knee to press over the other knee and let it come to a rest on the floor. Stay there for a moment and feel the stretch. Do the opposite side. Straighten your legs again and rest a moment, then pull them up into your arms with the knees bent. Begin to rock like a small child at play, rock and rock and rock coming up to a comfortable seated position.

Begin to pull both ears. Start by pulling down on the lobes several times and then out with the outer rim of the ears. Think of letting go and removing old obstacles. Take your index fingers and begin circling the path of the inner ears. Use pressure that feels good. Like you are moving things all around and letting them go to their proper place. Place your index fingers in your ear canals and pull out quickly. Do this three times.

With the fingers limber, let the fingertips beat upon the head all around, and then the face and around the mouth. Pinch the eyebrows all across. Smooth the brow letting everything go…resting in peace and calm. Smooth the cheeks, the neck and then smooth the whole body, letting go, letting go.

Let your hands and arms make a water wheel reaching out for the water and then bringing it into the body to cleanse and make whole, refreshed and made new.

Work on massaging each hand and each foot. Shaking them about when finished. Be a rag doll, free and rich with all the graces that have been bestowed upon us. Turn over on your tummy and let the sun shine on your back. Feel the warmth and be blessed.

You might want to sing a little song,  "Oh what a beautiful morning. Oh what a beautiful day…I’ve got a beautiful feeling everything’s going my way..."
